About this website

This website was deployed in response to an issue that came up within the Nigeria IT professionals forum about phishing and website cloning of financial related websites (e.g. Banks and payment gateways) in Nigeria.

We wanted a place for people to report such scams so that we can help shut down offending websites. We expanded the report category to enable submission of other types of scams in the hope that we will end up with a database of such scams, which may one day help citizens and government of Nigeria to combat/understand these scams/crimes.

Our hope is that through this website, we can help/support/advice victims of scams, not necessarily committed by Nigerians but also suffered by Nigerians. This is why we decided to use a support ticketing system, this way you can follow the progress of your submissions.

Fraud is a serious global problem both online and offline; it cripples the economic development/growth of any nation, especially that of developing countries - like Nigeria, so please use this website wisely.

Please note that this website is maintained by Nigerian volunteers across the world and is it in no way connected to any government body/department in/of Nigeria - the volunteers will try their very best to help/support/advice you.
